West Jakarta Mayor Temporarily Closes its Office for Three Days

We'll close starting on September 18 to 20

The West Jakarta Mayor Office forced its office to close temporarily in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 outbreak.

West Jakarta Deputy Mayor Yani Wahyu Purwoko said it was done after seeing the number of state civil Servants (ASN) who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the Block A and B office buildings.

"We'll close starting on September 18 to 20," he expressed, Thursday (9/17).

As long as it was closed, his party was going to spray disinfectant in all buildings and its surrounding areas.

He urged the regional working units to instruct employees to work from home or stop working in the office activities.

He added services that require face-to-face meetings would start on Monday (9/21), but still apply health protocols, wear masks, wash hands and maintain physical distancing.

"Our hope is we can end the disease soon, as well as employees remain healthy and always adhere to health protocols," he hoped.
